Privacy policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how mhuncho.com (“this site”, “we”) handles personal data when you visit. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
This is an unofficial, fan-made site. It is run by a fan and is not affiliated with or endorsed by M Huncho, his labels or his management — so please don't send us official artist enquiries. Questions about this policy or your data: contact@mhuncho.com.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the fan who maintains this site, contactable at contact@mhuncho.com. No company or label runs this site.
What we collect
- Just browsing: this is a static site. There are no accounts, comment forms or logins, and we don't profile visitors. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses, pages requested and timestamps) for security and abuse prevention, as most web hosts do.
- Your cookie choice: when you accept or decline in the cookie banner, your answer is saved in your browser's local storage (the key
mh-cookie-consent) so we don't ask you on every visit. This is strictly necessary storage — it contains no identifier and is never shared. - Analytics — only with your permission: if (and only if) you press “Accept analytics”, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth, device and browser type, approximate region derived from a truncated IP address, and pseudonymous session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity stores this data under its own cookies and local storage (for example
_clckand_clsk). If you decline, none of this loads at all. See Microsoft's privacy statement ↗ and the cookie policy. - Embedded players — only when you press play: the YouTube video, the Spotify player and the TikTok fan edits are not loaded until you press play. When they load, Google, Spotify and TikTok may set their own cookies and process data under their own policies. Cover artwork in the singles and features lists is loaded as plain images from Apple's content delivery network.
- If you email us: if you write to contact@mhuncho.com, we keep your email address and message only to read and reply. We don't add you to any mailing list and we never sell or share your details.
Why we're allowed to process it (lawful bases)
- Consent — for the optional Microsoft Clarity analytics and any consent-based storage, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for the basic running, security and upkeep of a non-commercial fan site, and for answering email you send us.
Where your data goes
This site is hosted in the UK or the EU. If you opt in to analytics or play an embedded video, data may be processed by Microsoft (Clarity), Google (YouTube) and Spotify, some of which may involve transfers outside the UK. Those transfers rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), plus the providers' own safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it.
- Clarity analytics data is retained by Microsoft in line with its published retention policy.
- Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message, plus a short period afterwards.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or stop processing your personal data, or ask for a copy of it (portability). To withdraw analytics consent, use “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page or clear the site's storage in your browser — either works immediately. To exercise any right, email contact@mhuncho.com; we may need to confirm who you are, and we aim to respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk ↗, 0303 123 1113, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
Children
This site is aimed at general music fans and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect children's data; if you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes (for example, a new analytics tool) will only apply going forward and — where the law requires it — only after you've opted in.
